The Wand Shop

Aarlstrom’s Magical Wand Shop can be found nestled deep in the Denede Woods, about half a day’s ride from the quaint town of Bissett. Aarlstrom acquired the land by chance after defeating an undead army for a gold-strapped burgomaster. Sure, he promptly forgot about his new property for a few decades, but when the time finally came to sell his magical wares, Aarlstrom returned with a flourish, and opened shop after clearing out a demon infestation he had neglected.

Dowtsy Magpeet – The Assistant

Dowtsy Magpeet is much more than Aarlstrom’s apprentice—he’s the shop’s manager, gardener, cook, errand boy, and, when necessary, wandcrafter. In exchange for a roof over his head and Aarlstrom’s sporadic “lessons,” Dowtsy handles nearly all aspects of the shop. Hailing from a humble gnomish village constantly raided by centaurs, Dowtsy was mesmerized when Aarlstrom appeared out of nowhere and single-handedly drove off the attackers with meteor showers and crystal golems. Determined to learn wizardry, Dowtsy followed Aarlstrom’s trail, surviving demons and disorganization before worming his way into the shop’s operations.

Trina Pergovich – The Adventurer

Trina Pergovich is the shop’s intrepid adventurer, gathering rare ingredients for Aarlstrom’s wand-making projects and testing new wands in the field. When a wand doesn’t work as expected, Aarlstrom hears about it. And when Aarlstrom hears about it, Dowtsy hears about it. Though she spends most of her time away from the shop, Trina's return is always met with anticipation. Her thrilling tales of danger and treasure over a pot of tea keep Aarlstrom and Dowtsy on the edge of their seats.
